Berlin-based designer Gerrit Jacob and global film platform MUBI team up to celebrate the wild, transformative spirit of 1990s Berlin through a limited-edition capsule collection. A trip down memory lane to a time that birthed the techno capital’s reputation for having a non-stop party scene unlike any other.
The collection is a love letter to ‘90s Berlin. It features a denim jacket, jeans, and a T-shirt decorated with hand-drawn graffiti-like scribbles, recalling the walls of Berlin’s infamous underground clubs and outdoor public spaces. Jacob’s bags, meanwhile, are stenciled and hand-sprayed, evoking the energy of rave flyers that once blanketed the city and an homage to the DIY ethos that shaped Berlin’s street art culture.
